      This year marks the first Annual Southeast Guild of Book Workers Members' Showcase. The Members' Showcase is an online opportunity for any members of the SEGBW to show their work in an effort to facilitate growth, collaboration, communication, and promote excellence in the craft and art of the book within the Southeast Chapter and the Guild of Book Workers.   Washi Arts attends many conferences and fairs, holds private and public trunk shows and set up pop-up shops on the west coast.     The Guild of Book Workers was founded in to “establish and maintain a feeling of kinship and mutual interest among workers in the several hand book crafts.” Among its early members are well-known artist-craft workers such as bookbinder Edith Diehl and printers and typographers W.A. Dwiggins and Frederic W. Goudy. The book as craft is our vessel to sail the high seas, to hold our dearest memories, and to indicate the pulse of life. Guild of Book Workers members were invited to interpret the term â vesselâ as broadly or as narrowly as they wished. This exhibition will feature approximately 50 works by Guild members.
